The mind-body connection and its effect on health is a mystery to many, even experts in the medical and health care profession. And physical pain can be debilitating and overwhelming. WHO AM I AND WHY YOU SHOULD LISTEN
 My name is Shanta De Lacrose, Ph.D. I am a mom to 3 young children, a former ballet dancer, a researcher in mind-body medicine, a holistic health practitioner and a movement therapist (specifically pilates and the Gyrotonic method). I combine these skills to offer support and consult my clients on how to bring their bodies back to health (through movement, nutrition, and mind/body awareness). This book came out of a need for people to understand and believe that healing yourself is not just a possibility, but it should be the norm in medicine. I want to empower you.
